Disclosures
Last updated 12 September 2026
What PickVesting is, how the numbers on it are produced, what they cannot tell you, and where our money comes from. Read this alongside the risk disclosure.
1. What PickVesting is — and is not
- PickVesting publishes trading records computed from creators’ linked brokerage accounts, and lets creators sell access to their ideas and a members-only community.
- We are not an investment adviser, a broker-dealer, or an exchange. We are not registered with the SEC, FINRA, or any state securities regulator. Nothing here is personalised investment advice or a recommendation that any security is suitable for you.
- We never place trades and never hold your money or securities. Brokerage connections are read-only.
- Creators are independent. They are not our employees or agents, and publishing a creator’s record is not an endorsement of them or their ideas.
2. How a record is computed
- Trades arrive from the creator’s brokerage through SnapTrade, a read-only data connection. We reconcile every fill into positions. A position is one symbol and direction from first open to flat — scaling in and out is one position.
- A record covers every position in each linked account, not only the ones a creator chose to publish as ideas.
- Returns are time-weighted. Win rate and maximum drawdown are computed from closed positions over the window shown — 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or all time. A window with nothing closed in it shows no figure, rather than a flat 0%.
- The leaderboard ranks only creators with a minimum number of closed positions in the window, and the minimum is stated on the page. Rank is by computed return; there is no paid placement.
- Open positions are marked at the latest price available to us, which may be delayed. Unrealised figures change until a position closes; realised figures do not.
- Positions opened before an account was linked arrive with its history and are labelled as imported. Records are recomputed regularly from the underlying fills.
3. How strongly a position is verified
- Verified — the position comes from a live brokerage connection that has synced recently.
- Connection lapsed — the position came from a real brokerage, but the connection has not synced recently or was disconnected, so an open position may no longer be held. Shown with a caution mark.
- Simulated or test data — demo accounts created by PickVesting to show how the product works, and test data that never came from a live brokerage. Demo accounts are labelled as demo on their profiles, in Discover and on the leaderboard. Simulated results are not real trading.
4. What verification cannot tell you
- A record proves what happened in the accounts a creator linked. It cannot show accounts they did not link, or trades made elsewhere.
- It says nothing about whether a strategy suits you, what the creator will do next, or why they did what they did.
- The thesis in an idea is the creator’s opinion. We check that the position behind it is real; we do not check the reasoning.
- A record is only as good as the data behind it. Brokers and aggregators occasionally report late, incomplete or incorrect data; we reconcile carefully, and where activity cannot be represented the record says so.
5. Conflicts of interest, and how we are paid
- Creators hold, or held, the positions they publish ideas about — by design, so that the disclosure is real. A creator can benefit if readers trade the same way. A cooling-off period applies after publishing, selling that follows publication is monitored, and a person reviews every flag.
- Creators earn money from subscriptions to their VIP communities.
- PickVesting earns a platform fee of 15% of each creator subscription payment, and the price of the platform bundle ($29.99/month), which unlocks members-only ideas across creators.
- We do not accept payment from companies to feature their securities, and we do not sell placement on the leaderboard or in Discover.
- We recruit creators, including through referral links. How a creator joined does not affect how their record is computed or ranked.
6. Service providers
- Brokerage data: SnapTrade (read-only). Payments: Stripe. Market prices: third-party data vendors, and prices may be delayed.
- We rely on these providers and do not guarantee their data or availability. See the privacy policy for what each receives.
